I applied to a sci-fi magazine once, so I had to do something that would suit the subject.
I never was into sci-fi, so I think that these characters are actually fantasy chars, only dreessed to like 'Space Opera Crew'
I like the Mantis the best. Though the girl's haircut is great too...

XD I like it! I think they look really cool, though the guy's outfit is borderline generic fantasy style... if you know what I mean...
