As I mentioned in my journal - [link] - and I decided that we should motivate ourselves and work on the same ( or similar...) subjects. The first one being The Burglar Cat.
At first I thought about the comic-styled character and I tried to create him, but being so cartoony disabled my creativity and I couldn't go beyond quite generic creatures in funny striped turtle-necks... I had to try elsewhere.

Lautrec's 'Tournee de Chat Noir' is one of my most beloved pictures ever - it's good, it's simple, it's red, and it's got a black cat on it - what more could I desire?
I decided to bow to the Grand Master and to start with the cat so well known for his cabaret roots...
His name is Tom Silent Paws and he is quite famous among the ones who know. He is famous among the rest of the population too, only not by his name...
He's witty, smart and incredibly silent - the women adore him while the men dream to be just like him.
The most cunning burglar in Paris.

I would like to dedicate this art to incredible for her works convinced me not to be afraid of the watercolours, and her wit and intelligence make me believe that there's still chance for humanity.
